Traditional vs Montessori

The three most obvious differences between a Montessori approach and a ‘traditional’ one are:

  • Student directed (and adult guided) learning that harnesses your child’s innate curiosity and passion for learning, actively engaging them in their education and helping develop self-motivation, resilience, and independence.

  • Purposeful, hands-on activities where active engagement and experiential learning lead to better knowledge retention and deeper understanding

  • Mixed-age class environment where children learn and develop at their own pace rather than an arbitrary age, so no child is held back or left behind, but each child is empowered to reach their full potential.

Toddler Program

Toddler with Wooden Toys

18–36 months

Discover, Explore, and Grow

Our Toddler program is all about building independence, curiosity, and trust in a nurturing environment tailored to little explorers. Rich language experiences are guided and modeled throughout the day.  Through hands-on materials, movement, and caring guidance, toddlers learn to interact, and navigate their world, one discovery at a time.

The Foundation for Lifelong Learning

This is where the magic of Montessori shines! Children in our Primary classrooms dive into hands-on activities that spark a love for reading, math, science, and practical life (everyday skills). We focus on developing independence, concentration, and confidence. At the same time, we nurture a joy for learning that lasts a lifetime and build a strong classroom community where children collaborate, respect one another, and grow together.

Elementary Program

Science Class

6–9 years

Big Ideas, Bold Thinkers

In our Elementary program, we nurture curious minds ready to ask “how” and “why.” Students explore subjects like math, science, language arts, and cultural studies through engaging, curiosity driven, individually inspired research. Collaboration and creativity take center stage as they develop critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence in their abilities.

Exciting News: As our students grow, we plan to expand our Elementary program to serve ages 6–12, ensuring a seamless journey that supports their development through the formative years.

What Makes Us Unique?

Alongside our Montessori foundation, we enrich every program with:

  • Spanish Bilingualism: A natural and engaging way to build bilingual skills, starting from Toddler years.

  • Fine Arts & Creativity: Art, music, and creative exploration are woven into daily learning.

  • Technology for Today’s World: A balanced introduction to digital tools begins in Upper Primary and Elementary, when research shows children ages 6–9 are developmentally ready to benefit from technology that builds global awareness, creativity, and critical thinking.
